David WolfsohnBio:David M. Wolfsohn, MD, is an assistant clinical professor at Yale School of Medicine. He serves as the director of Innovation and an International Medicine leader for the Division of Digestive Diseases. He has a strong interest in luminal disorders, Barrett’s esophagus, colon cancer, and preventative health as it relates to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Dr. Wolfsohn joined the Yale faculty after spending 27 years caring for patients in private practice with Connecticut Gastroenterology Consultants, where he served on the executive committee of the group for more than 20 years. Dr. Wolfsohn serves on the science advisory board and board of directors of pHlip, Inc., a biotechnology company that studies novel therapies to diagnose and treat inflammatory and neoplastic conditions, which has provided him with exciting opportunities for research. He is additionally involved in conducting research with a group of Yale neurologists on the role of the gut microbiome and neuroinflammatory conditions. Dr. Wolfsohn graduated from Brown University magna cum laude and as a member of the Sigma Xi honor society. He received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and completed his residency in internal medicine at Cornell-New York Hospital. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of California, San Diego, which included training in advanced procedures. His interests include skiing, mountaineering, hiking, kayaking, playing the guitar, and traveling with his family. |

Royce K. Young WolfBio:The Yale University Art Gallery and the Yale Peabody Museum have hired scholar, artist, and curator Royce K. Young Wolf (Hiraacá, Nu’eta, and Sosore, ancestral Apsáalooke and Nʉmʉnʉʉ) to help steward their collections relating to the Indigenous peoples of North America. Beginning in June 2023, Young Wolf will serve as the Gallery’s first Assistant Curator of Native American Art and the inaugural manager of the Peabody’s Native American holdings. She is currently completing her tenure as the Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Associate in Native American Art and Curation and Yale University Presidential Visiting Fellow. |

Cynthia ZarinBio:Cynthia Zarin is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department where she teaches Creative Writing (poetry and nonfiction) and is the coordinator of the Concentration in Creative Writing. She is the author of five books of poetry, including "Orbit," which will be published this year, five books for children, and a collection of essays, "An Enlarged Heart, A Personal History." She is a longtime writer for The New Yorker. Her interests include theater and dance--she is currently Resident Writer for the New York based company, BalletCollective-- and she is always happy to talk to students.
