	Elaine Piraino–Holevoet Bio: Elaine Piraino–Holevoet, JE’75 and parent of Dan JE’07, has a special interest in speaking with students who would like to find out more about life in the City beyond Yale, particularly those who share her interest in environmental activism. She has lived in downtown New Haven since graduation and works with her husband in their graphic design firm — PIROET. For years an active volunteer in the community, she has also maintained strong ties to Yale as a volunteer on the Yale Alumni Schools Committee and as a vice president of the Yale Club of New Haven. 	Leon Plantinga Bio: Leon Plantinga, professor of music (emeritus) is a music historian who joined the Yale faculty in 1963, and became a fellow at JE one year later. He still teaches about one course a year, usually a seminar for the Humanities major, cross-listed with the Music Department. His publications are mainly on European music of the late 18th and the 19th centuries, with a particular interest in the place of music in intellectual history. Teaching Yale undergraduates has always been just about his favorite activity; in second place is playing tennis. He would welcome further contacts with students. leon.plantinga@yale.edu
	Bohdan Pomahac Bio: Dr. Bohdan Pomahac is Division Chief of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Pomahac joined the Yale Surgery and Smilow Cancer Hospital community from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where he was the Roberta and Stephen R. Weiner Distinguished Chair in Surgery and Director of Vascular Composite Allograft Transplantation program. A pioneer in his field, Dr. Pomahac’s team performed the first three full-face transplant procedures in the United States, and the first successful bilateral upper extremity transplantation in the Northeast. Dr. Pomahac made Brigham and Women’s Hospital the world leader in vascularized composite transplantation completing 10 face and 4 bilateral hand transplants. Dr. Pomahac’s expertise adds to a growing portfolio of destination programs in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Yale, which has grown into a multidisciplinary enterprise—with novel programs across Connecticut, including robotic microsurgery, lymphatic surgery, craniofacial and gender affirming surgery, melanoma treatment, targeted muscle reinnervation, breast reconstruction, and cutting-edge research in machine learning and 3D printing.
	Julian Posada Bio: Julian Posada is an Assistant Professor of American Studies. His research integrates theories and methods from information science, sociology, and human-computer interaction to examine how technology is developed and used within various historical, cultural, and social contexts. His current project investigates the dynamics between human labor and data production in the artificial intelligence industry. Incorporating Latin American critical thought, his current project emphasizes the experiences of Latin American workers who are employed by digital platforms to produce machine learning data and validate algorithmic outputs.
	Mike Printy Bio: Michael Printy (JE ‘94) is the Librarian for Western European Humanities at Yale. At the library, he focuses on collection development in French, German, Italian, and European History, and on assisting faculty and students with research. He is also a historian specializing in European Intellectual History, especially the Enlightenment and religion in Germany. In addition to a B.A. from Yale he has a Ph.D. in History from U.C. Berkeley. He has spent several years in Germany, first as a Fulbright scholar right after graduating from Yale, and then later for subsequent research stays. As an undergraduate, Sterling Memorial Library was one of his favorite places (alongside the 7th floor of Payne-Whitney), and he is pleased to have an office there now surrounded by over 4 million books! He is quite happy to talk to students about any aspect of the library, European history, or about studying in Europe. 	Greg Raskin Bio: Dr. Greg Raskin (JE 94, MED 98) is the Vice President of Technology Development at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. In this role, he leads efforts to ensure that promising discoveries made in MSK’s laboratories are further developed and commercialized. Prior to re-entering the world of academic medicine in 2012, Greg worked for a decade as an investor in public and private biotechnology companies; for a few years as a management consultant to pharmaceutical companies; and briefly as a medical resident. Greg is a Lecturer in Yale College, co-teaching an undergraduate seminar on biotechnology and drug development. He’d be happy to talk to students about careers at the intersection of business and medicine.
