Welcome home, Spiders!

It’s no secret that you’ve been sorted into Yale’s best residential college! By August, you’ll be unpacking bags and boxes in Farnam Hall, getting to know the students and staff in the college, and learning more about the abundance of niche JE traditions that distinguish the JE community from the rest. Within this spiderweb of college community is the Jonathan Edwards College Council, which we encourage you to seek out as a resource in your first semester at Yale!

The Jonathan Edwards College Council – lovingly referred to as JECC – is an organization of students from across all grade levels, majors, backgrounds, and interests with a shared spirit for Jonathan Edwards College. Within the college, we’re responsible for renewing old college traditions and forging new ones. Think of weekly gatherings with cookies and warm beverages, monthly karaoke and game nights in the JE’s Buttery, celebrating the annual crowning of the Tulip Princess… and much more!

In addition to our ongoing community events, JECC represents its own unique community of friends within the college. As the semester gets underway, you’ll hear from us again when we invite incoming spiders to run as JECC representatives for the class of 2028. Whether you’ve never participated in student council, or have been involved for years, JECC welcomes all spiders with open arms.

We are so excited to welcome you to JE in August!

Until then,

Maddy, Isaí, Jackson, and JECC
