Keep JE Clean!
C’mon, folks, I know you are busy, but the basement looked pretty pathetic when I toured it this weekend, for the first time this year.  Please pick up after yourselves, don’t leave a horrid mess, and that goes not just for the basement but for the libraries too.  It makes everyone feel worse to be surrounded by mess.  You know my mantra:  You can book any JE facilities, from Guest Suite to Common Rooms, to Kitchen to Buttery IF . . .  IF you leave them as you found them.

University or contracted workers may enter student rooms during Winter Recess in order to complete scheduled and/or emergency repairs.

Paskus Mellon Dinner

Seniors,

Come join us for another intellectually stimulating Paskus Mellon Forum, Monday, November 28.

Forums provide seniors with an intimate setting to present their thesis work to a group of their peers over dinner and dessert. Don't miss out!

Senior Happy Hour!

Seniors,

Join us for the next one, this Friday December 2, 5:30-7pm in the Junior Common Room.

The theme this week is The Wonderful World of Wine.  You will be tasting and comparing our favorite white and red wines from the best regions of the world.  There will also be cheeses paired with the wines and non-alcoholic beverages for those who don't want wine.

If wine does not appeal to you, and you have a request for something, please e-mail either kyle.alpern@yale.edu or madeleine.haddon@yale.edu by Wednesday night and we can try to accommodate you.

As usual, you will not be allowed to drink alcohol if you are under 21 years of age.  Please do not try to.

Can't wait,
Kyle & Maddie

The Spider's Web

Hey JE-

We plan to put out a first semester edition of Spider’s Web, and it is never too early to start submitting. We already received a number of submissions last spring and are looking for more!

As a reminder, we are looking for original pieces of art, poetry and prose from JE students and we are going to compile them into JE’s very own lit mag.

We have taken out the maximum submission length – so feel free to send us pieces of any length!

Please send any submissions or questions to spidersweb2011@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Tessa Berenson and Kate Huh, your Spider’s Web editors.
